Return Find Out the Qualities of the Reflective PaintWHAT IS REFLECTIVE PAINT?
Reflective paint is a type of paint that reflects light back to its source. The reflective paint itself appears gray, almost transparent, but once applied, it forms a layer of special pigments that shine when light hits them.
The reflector paint has a characteristic associated with features of road safety, from road lines and street signs to worker's clothing. All these elements have a technical peculiarity that makes them shine brightly back at the position the light is emitted from. As a result, the objects become conveniently visible to motor vehicle drivers when driving at night, anywhere without lighting.
Montana Colors provides you with the tool to add this property to any object or surface you want. A helmet, a bicycle frame, or even clothing can be given the reflective quality of a road mark, making it surprisingly visible to approaching vehicles with the headlights on.
The ease of application and fast drying of this paint combine with its powerful reflective properties, its great hardness and the absence of lead or heavy metals in its formulation.
HOW DO YOU USE THE MTN PRO REFLECTIVE PAINT?
Applying the MTN PRO Reflective Spray Paint is very simple, but if you are not familiar with the basic steps of using spray paint, we’d like to remind you here, along with a couple of specific instructions of the product.
You should first shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after first hearing the noise of the mixing ball. You can then start to paint, remembering to hold the can in the most vertical position possible. Spray the surface with thin and quick strokes at a distance of about 25 cm, allowing it to dry for about five minutes between coats. This spray has a lot of pressure, so you will have to be careful when using it.
Two or three coats will be enough to leave a powerful reflective effect. You will see that the coat is practically transparent, although it has a grayish tone. For the paint to take effect, you don’t have to turn the surface completely gray.
When using the reflective paint, it is important to constantly shake the product, as its special pigments tend to settle at the bottom of the can more quickly than conventional paint.
When you’ve finished painting, remember to invert the can and spray for several seconds with the aerosol in that position until paint stops coming out of the nozzle. This will prevent it from clogging.
