PATTERN CHINESO, THE ORIGINAL BRAND THAT USES THE SPRAY TECHNIQUES IN THEIR DESIGNS

Last September, Pattern Chineso was invited to represent Spain at Beijing Fashion Week.  

Can fakes generate authenticity? This is the question that forms the basis of Pattern Chineso’s conceptual ideas. This fashion brand uses the manual creation of its prints to emulate the methods of reproduction used in China. The brand seeks to create a reflection on the beauty that’s inherent in counterfeiting, asserting the value in imperfections caused by hand-painting something using spray paint.

The versatility of MTN Water Based makes the range of possibilities as wide as they are unpredictable. We find great comfort in discovering new and original applications of our products, and this is a particularly interesting example, since it opens us up to a field as haphazard as fashion. 

Thanks to the agreement between the headquarters of the Cervantes Institutes in Beijing and Madrid, last September Pattern Chineso was invited to represent Spain and participate in Beijing Fashion Week

As a result of the feedback collected from the public, with special interest in discovering the differences between Iberian and Chinese cultures, Pattern Chineso has reconsidered the essence of its project, basing it on the idea of authenticity. According to their very own testimony, the experience has served as inspiration to continue with their concepts and branch them out towards new conceptual outcomes.
