GOTELÉ EFFECT SPRAY

The "gotelé", stipple or popcorn ceiling is a domestic painting technique which produces a rough texture on the surface that mimics the aesthetic finish and texture of raindrops. Although gotelé is usually applied with tempera paint, Montana Colors has an aerosol product that reproduces the same effect: the MTN PRO Gotelé, a paint formulated with an exclusive polyurethane dispersion that imitates the roughness of gotelé.

GOTELÉS SPRAY: USES AND FEATURES

This spray paint for walls is designed to produce the gotelé effect finish without the need for compressed air guns, electric paint sprayers or special rollers. It is especially useful for repairs or touch-ups on these types of surfaces. For example, if work has been carried out on a wall painted in this way, the product allows you to restore its original finish, matching the entire surface.

The gotelé spray paint can be recoated with whatever color is required and is compatible with all types of materials, from concrete to plasterboard, plaster and wood. These properties make this an essential product for the construction sector and for professional painters, as well as anyone who wants to carry out repairs on their own at home.

HOW TO USE THE GOTELÉ EFFECT SPRAY PAINT

Just like when you use any spray paint, shake the product well for one minute and try it out on a test surface. This is to get used to the pressure of the paint, and you’ll be able to apply it where you like without any surprises.

Prepare the area that you’re going to paint by cleaning it properly to ensure optimum adherence. Apply the product holding the spray in a vertical position following these two steps:

-Using a Transversal Cap or Transversal Fat Cap, apply the first layer to the surface, which will serve as the base layer.

-Using the Needle Cap, the characteristic texture of the gotelé will be produced, completing the process. You should wait ten minutes between layers.

SOME TIPS TO USE THE GOTELÉ EFFECT SPRAY PAINT

By spraying the spray upside-down, you can clean the caps, removing residues of paint that could clog them up. If the cap does clog, you can easily replace them with new ones.

We recommend using protective gloves and a protective mask. Remember that the container is made of recyclable materials, so dispose of it properly according to your local recycling regulations.
