Return Color forge spray paintWHAT IS THE FORGING EFFECT PAINT?
Forging paint is a synthetic enamel that offers metal objects protection from corrosion whilst producing an iron-like finish. Natural micaceous iron oxide pigments give the surface an appearance similar to wrought iron, very useful for exterior decoration of metal elements.
WHAT UTILITIES DOES IT HAVE?
The "forging effect" is a very recurrent type of finish, in the world of DIY and construction, for the painting of exterior metal elements since it reproduces the appearance and touch of wrought iron.
Its decorative qualities make this product perfect for treating ornate metal fences, window bars, gates, lamp posts, fountains and any kind of street furniture that requires the aesthetics of wrought iron work along with anti-rust properties.
CHARACTERISTICS OF FORGING EFFECT SPRAY PAINT
As always, the aerosol format is the most convenient way to use and store paint. In this case its advantages are crucial, as it’s a product designed to paint objects that are complicated and tedious to paint with a brush. Just imagine the time you’ll save painting a traditional wrought iron fence with an aerosol rather than a brush.
As well as the handy aerosol format and its great anticorrosive power that we’ve already mentioned, this paint is fast drying, has good adhesion, excellent resistance to weathering and its properties are compatible with welding thanks to its metallic formulation.
This forging iron paint is available in the two most common shades most demanded for this type of project:
Grey forging effect paint
Black forging effect paint
HOW TO USE FORGING EFFECT SPRAY PAINT
Using the wrought iron paint spray involves practically the same steps that you’d follow with any spray paint: shake the container well for a minute and apply in quick and fine sprays at a distance of about 20 cm. As usual, remember to apply several thin layers instead of a single thick layer.
In the case of this product, it’s important to shake it constantly during use due to the density of the product. When you’ve finished the process, we recommend turning the can upside-down and spraying until paint stops coming out. This’ll help the nozzle not to clog so you don’t have to get a new one when you use it again. Remember that the materials that MTN aerosols are made of are recyclable, so once you’ve used the product up, discard the spray in the right recycling container.
DIFFERENT OPTIONS TO PROTECT AND DECORATE METAL
The forging effect metal paint is just one of the solutions to protect and decorate metal objects that you can find in the "Other finishes" category of the MTN PRO range, along with other products with specific characteristics, such as our stainless steel paint or our 99% zinc.
