Return Discover the Montana Colors Acrylic Varnish SprayACRYLIC VARNISH SPRAY
In the field of decoration, varnish is an essential element to protect painted surfaces, in order to improve the durability and resistance of paint. Just as you’d use a primer on a surface before painting it, varnishes are added afterwards. However, varnishes can also be applied to unpainted surfaces, like wood, plastic and metal, allowing you to customize the finish.
If the aerosol format facilitates the painting processes, how can it not work in the same way in the field of varnishes? Obviously, the quick application, the ease of use and storage, the independence of accessory tools and the professional result of a uniform application, are also necessary characteristics when it comes to varnishes.
Montana Colors has several lines of varnishes and the acrylic varnish is undoubtedly the most widely used thanks to its versatility.
ACRYLIC VARNISH IN AN AEROSOL FEATURES
With a formula based on solvent-based thermoplastic resins, the MTN PRO Acrylic Spray Varnish has the properties of a multipurpose varnish: to protect and enrich surfaces in the most dynamic format of all the creative tools, the aerosol.
Acrylic gloss spray, matte and satin are different finishes available in Montana Colors and can be used to modify the final finish of your paint or surface, as well as offering protection. For example, if you wanted to use a specific color of MTN 94 but give it a shiny finish, you’d just have to apply the gloss varnish after painting.
This clear acrylic spray varnish is suitable for use on both interior and exterior surfaces and doesn’t yellow. As well as achieving great results in terms of adhesion, hardening, elasticity, gloss durability and water resistance, it dries surprisingly quickly.
HOW TO USE THE ACRYLIC VARNISH SPRAY
Like when you use most aerosol products, you have to follow a series of simple steps: shake the container for a minute, try out the flow on a test surface and apply with fast and fine strokes at a distance of about 20 cm, holding the can in a vertical position. It’s especially important to apply several thin coats instead of just a few thick ones in this case.
If you’re going to apply the varnish to a fresh coat of paint, we recommend that you do it before the paint has completely dried, leaving it to dry for about 10 -15 minutes and adding the varnish within two hours to get the perfect finish.
The final layer will be touch dry after two hours, and completely dry after 24 hours.
Don’t forget that you can recycle the can, so when you have used up the contents of the aerosol, dispose of it responsibly.
VARNISH OPTIONS FOR ANY TYPE OF MATERIAL
The fact that the MTN PRO Acrylic Spray Varnish is our most popular line doesn’t mean that other types of varnishes are not available, designed to meet different needs, whether practical or decorative. In the spray varnishes and primers section, for example, we have the synthetic varnish spray paint, especially useful for wood. For the same material, you can also use MTN PRO Teak Oil Spray, a natural protector with alternative properties. For a purely decorative function we also have a glitter varnish, designed to add a sparkle to any surface. Finally, for more extreme protection, look no further than the 2 Component 2k Varnish , which even resists corrosion from solvents.
