Return High Heat-Resistant Spray PaintIn the range of products that Montana Colors has developed for the world of motoring, there is one particular line with surprisingly particular qualities. It also happens to be one of the oldest types of aerosol paint designed for professional use: the MTN PRO Heat Resistant Paint.
NOT JUST FOR PAINTING VEHICLE PARTS
This spray paint, characterized by its resistance to high temperatures, is classified in the motoring section because of its common use on exhaust pipes and engines. However, its uses extend to other sectors beyond the automotive world. The fireproof quality of this paint spray makes it suitable for painting all kinds of objects that are exposed to high temperatures, as we will see below.
Quick drying, strong hardening with high flexibility, scratch resistant, high opacity and long-lasting color are the main properties of this lead-free paint, which can also be used as a heat proof varnish.
What properties does heat resistant paint have?
Formulated with thermoset pigments and silicone resins, MTN PRO Heat Resistante Paint offers great resistance to temperatures up to 690 - 700 ºC. Because of this, its possibilities extend beyond the motoring sector, with many uses in the areas of industry and maintenance.Heat resistant paint available in black and silver
The MTN PRO Heat Resistante Paint is available in 2 colors: black and silver. The latter has its own formulation, based on polybutyl and titanate resins which are added to lead-free thermoset pigments. In this case, the paint can withstand temperatures of up to 600 ºC.
Both the black and silver products are ideal for boilers, stoves, industrial facilities and pipes exposed to heat, in addition, of course, to exhaust pipes or engine blocks.
How do you use heat proof spray paint?
As with all spray paint, the first thing you have to do is shake the can for about a minute after hearing the noise of the mixing ball. The surface to be painted must be clean and dry. If you want to repaint a rusty surface, the corrosion must be removed with a wire brush.
For the best results with even coverage, we recommend applying thin coats with 10minute intervals. Several thin coats are always better than one very thick layer.
As a precautionary measure, it is important to disconnect the object from the mains, and use the paint in well ventilated spaces.
The unique properties of the MTN PRO Heat Resistant Paint are the result of Montana Colors' mission to offer solutions for all the areas where spray paint offers advantages over traditional paint. Our extensive experience in the world of graffiti is our guarantee of expertise in aerosol technology, which is evident in other products aimed at the the automotive sector, like the MTN PRO Multi-Purpose Vinyl Coating, the MTN PRO Grey Filler Primer, the MTN PRO Textured Bumper Paint and the MTN PRO Metallic Paint.
